# Insights

> Yearly analytics, personal records, fun step equivalents, and workout breakdowns

Insights gives you a year-in-review of your step and workout data with stats, records, and fun comparisons.

## Steps Analytics

Your yearly step summary includes:

* **Yearly Receipt** - Total steps, distance, and calories for the year
* **Daily Average** - Your average steps per day
* **Best Day** - Your highest single-day step count and the date
* **Best Month** - The month with the most total steps
* **Peak Hour** - The hour of day when you're most active
* **Weekday Breakdown** - Chart comparing steps by day of the week, with weekday vs weekend averages
* **Goals Met** - Total number of days you reached your step goal
* **Best Streak** - Your longest consecutive streak in days

## Yearly Step Goal

If you've set a [yearly step goal](/features/yearly-goal), a progress card shows your steps so far this year, a gradient progress bar, and whether you're on track. For the current year it also projects your year-end total based on your pace; for past years it shows the percentage of the goal you reached and your daily average.

## Fun Equivalents

Steps converts your yearly totals into fun real-world comparisons for distance, calories, CO2 saved, and more. See how your walking stacks up against everyday activities.

## Workout Analytics

If you've recorded workouts, you'll also see:

* **Workout Flight Ticket** - Total workouts, workout time, distance, and calories
* **Workout Breakdown** - Most common workout type, outdoor vs indoor counts, weekday vs weekend activity

## Personal Records

A scrollable grid shows your 8 all-time personal records:

| **Fastest**     | Best pace                         |
| **Most Burned** | Most calories in a single workout |
| **Earliest**    | Earliest workout start time       |
| **Most Climb**  | Greatest elevation gain           |
| **Longest**     | Longest workout duration          |
| **Farthest**    | Greatest workout distance         |
| **Latest**      | Latest workout start time         |
| **Max HR**      | Highest heart rate recorded       |

Tap any record to see the full workout detail.

## Year Picker

Use the year picker in the toolbar to switch between years and compare your activity over time.
